 32bit image file support

Hi,
a very small wish: make DoF Pro read 32bit TGAs (or TIFs etc). I know it doesn't use alpha bits for anything, but they usually get rendered along with 3D programs for other purposes. There's now one extra step doing separate TGA sequences just for DoF. That could be easily (?) removed. I know I'm a pipeline optimizing freak Smile

Anyway, excellent program even now.

Hi tpp,

thanks for your contribution. Workflow optimization is a valid concern, so your point is well taken!

I have been able to load 32bit in tiff format but not tga for some reason. Will have a look and see if we can fix it. But you'll have to make a contribution to the gallery in this forum in return Laughing

Greetings
Martin

My current project is an animation sequence for television ad and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to show the results publicly Confused And it doesn't look interesting as a still render, but when it's moving, it's nice. And DoF adds a nice final touch to it! Maybe I'll show it when it's been aired.

I am now incorporating DoF as part of our 3D CGI pipeline and I already have some bug/wish list ready after first project. I'll post it later on Wish List section for you to review.

Years ago I used to work as software QA tester, so I won't post any bugs I am not able to reproduce Smile

tpp,

I think we can fix your problem. Just to be sure, would it be possible for you to provide a 32 bit tga test file?

tpp,

I am happy to inform you that DOF PRO 3.0.73 has been released. Among other things it can handle 32 bit tga files Wink

Greetings
Martin

Hi,
gotta go and download it to test. Nice work. Especially if you have fixed that 169th frame bug.

Hmm, you seemed to lost some of the registered users. I had to re-register to get back to forum.

Hi ttp;

Yep, we had to do a full out cleaning of the spammers and install a new anti-spam mod. This cleaning may have inadvertently deleted some user accounts. Re-registering is not a problem and se seem to have gotten rid of the spam.

Here we go. Just added the mentioned project (now publicly broadcasted) to Gallery. Downloaded .73 version, seems to work fine. At least that annoying 169th frame bug is gone. Good work! Have to test with 32bit images when I have extra time.
